Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer
Michael Sherman founded AES Corporation in 1974. He oversees the Company’s corporate direction and all engineering projects. Mr. Sherman is a security industry veteran and expert on communications hardware and software development including wireless applications for commercial, government, and military applications. Under his leadership for the past four decades, AES Corporation has grown from a contract engineering firm to a leader in the design and development of wireless mesh radio technology today. Mr. Sherman holds a BS degree from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Babson College.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Bill Kieckhafer provides expertise in value driven enterprises, strategic leadership, and management of daily Company operations. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s vision, mission, and business plans to advance the Company’s goals and objectives. Mr. Kieckhafer is a strong leader of high-performance teams and builder of thriving organizations. He has led global business-to-business manufacturing companies with business offices and distribution channels worldwide. Prior to joining the AES management team, he held high ranking roles at companies in the government sector, consumer electronics, and security industries. Mr. Kieckhafer currently serves on the board of advisors for two privately-held companies. He has an undergraduate degree in business from the University of Wisconsin with an MBA from Boston University.
Chief Financial Officer
Tom French is responsible for company-wide financial management, planning, internal controls, accounting, financial analysis, human resources, and office administration. He is a CPA and brings over 20 years of financial and global operations management experience to AES. Prior to joining the AES Management Team, his career included leadership roles as Corporate Controller, Director of Finance, and Principal in a series of multi-million dollar manufacturing and service technology companies that were all fast-growing enterprises. Mr. French earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Salem State University where he is Chair of the Bertolon School of Business Advisory Council. Tom coached several Peabody youth sport programs for 14 years. He has also been active with other organizations such as Peabody Western Little League and the North Shore Chamber of Commerce.
Vice President of Engineering
Owais Hassan leads and manages the design of product enhancements as well as new product planning and development efforts. He is an experienced hands-on senior level executive and entrepreneur with a strong technical and leadership background. His areas of expertise include strategic product development from conceptual stages to high volume manufacturing and in depth knowledge of relevant and new emerging markets. Mr. Hassan has been a major contributor to the success of many communication and information system companies, specializing in wireless and secure networks technology for the security industry. He holds a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University.
Vice President of Sales for The Americas
Jim Burditt is responsible for leading the US & Canada, Central America, and South America sales team including inside sales reps and outside regional sales managers. Jim drives all facets of sales activities including promotions and programs, corporate marketing, management of revenue and operating expenses. Jim joins the Company with over 20 years of sales management experience and over 15 years of experience in the physical security industry. His expertise resides in building strong dealer networks as well as leading rapid-growth, highly-professional sales teams. Mr. Burditt is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an Associate of Science degree in Management.
Vice President of Sales for North America
John Milliron manages the expansion of existing accounts and new business opportunities in the US & Canada security market. John is involved with business planning, sales management, and strategic alliances within the AES-IntelliNet business unit. He has been a primary member of the AES management team since 2001 and has worked in engineering and sales for the electronic security industry since the late 1980’s. Before joining AES, he worked at the Regional Vice President and National Sales Manager level providing product sales, training, dealer development, and support for a manufacturer of professional fire and burglary alarms in addition to a wireless communication and machine-to-machine solution company. He is a member of the CSAA, NFPA, and ESA organizations and serves on various committees. Mr. Milliron has an EET degree from Lincoln Technical Institute and has attended The College of NJ and Drexel University.
Director of Manufacturing
Naz Monsini oversees all manufacturing operations and directs production processes. She plays a vital role in the organization leading production and purchasing departments, acting as a primary contact for customers and suppliers. Monsini has over fifteen years of prior experience in the security, semiconductor, and consumer electronic industries familiar with general assembly and line operations. Ms. Monsini is multilingual and holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees from UMass Lowell.
Director of Technical Support
Lee Dubé is responsible for leading technical operations efficiency and managing product application activities. His focus is on continuous process improvement, account management, and projects that will enhance the Company’s global service and support efforts. Lee partners with the management team to support corporate initiatives and guides Technical Support staff to deliver customer service excellence, develop technical tips and solutions, provide technical training, and establish best practices that align with AES quality assurance standards. His background includes diverse experience at high tech software, data collection, and enterprise solution companies with a focus on fault tolerance as well as extensive knowledge of large end-to-end communication concepts and technology trends. Mr. Dubé attended Northern Essex Community College and is currently working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Western Governors University.
Director of Marketing
Peg Slack is a key contributor and integral member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the development of marketing, media relations, and communications strategy aligned with sales objectives. Ms. Slack oversees global marketing activities including advertising, brand management, messaging, new product launches, event planning, web development, creative and design projects. She leads LEAN continuance improvement programs and implements corporate initiatives in support of the Company’s mission. Prior to joining AES, Ms. Slack led sales and marketing organizations in the consumer electronics field and high tech industries at large public companies and small startup businesses. Earlier in her career, she worked in a civil service role for the United States Air Force (USAF) branch of the U.S. military. Ms. Slack is a member of several industry associations and groups. She attended the BSBA program at Northeastern University.
