Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer
Michael Sherman founded AES Corporation in 1974. He oversees the Company’s corporate direction and all engineering projects. Mr. Sherman is a security industry veteran and expert on communications hardware and software development including wireless applications for commercial, government, and military applications. Under his leadership for the past four decades, AES Corporation has grown from a contract engineering firm to a leader in the design and development of wireless mesh radio technology today. Mr. Sherman holds a BS degree from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Babson College.
President and Chief Operating Officer
Patrick Moran is President & COO of AES Corporation providing expertise in strategy, operations, and finance. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the Company’s vision, mission, and business plans to advance corporate goals and objectives. Mr. Moran is a strong leader with extensive knowledge of strategic implementation, project management, employee engagement, change management, global initiatives, and organizational diversity. Prior to joining AES, he held high ranking positions and strategic advisory roles at investment banking, management consulting, renewable energy technology and non-profit companies. He holds a BA degree in History/Political Science from Boston College, a MA degree in Conflict Management from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a MBA degree in Strategic Management from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Vice President of Engineering
In her role as Vice President of Engineering, Revathi Pillai is responsible for driving innovative new product development and design efforts along with advanced technology enhancements aligned with customer needs and market trends. She is an accomplished hands-on senior level engineering executive leader with a strong background in hardware, software design, integration, system architecture, project management, and strategic planning. Her areas of expertise include product roadmaps, in-depth knowledge of the telecommunications and utilities industry, and the Internet of Things (IoT) space. Ms. Pillai has been a valued contributor to the success of many high tech companies, specializing in information technology and services. She is multi-lingual, author of multiple patents and published articles, and a certified Scrum Master. Revathi holds a BTech in Electrical Engineering from the University of Kerala, India, a MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alabama, and earned her MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Revathi also attended the Executive Leadership Program at Cornell University.
Vice President of Sales
Jim Burditt is responsible for leading the US & Canada, Central America, and South America sales team including inside sales reps and outside regional sales managers. Jim drives all facets of sales activities including promotions and programs, corporate marketing, management of revenue and operating expenses. Jim joins the Company with over 20 years of sales management experience and over 15 years of experience in the physical security industry. His expertise resides in building strong dealer networks as well as leading rapid-growth, highly-professional sales teams. Mr. Burditt is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and an Associate of Science degree in Management.
Corey J. Carter
Vice President of Operations
Corey Carter oversees all Manufacturing staff operations and directs production processes. He also has responsibility for international logistics and the purchasing department, acting as the primary liaison interfacing with customers and suppliers. Corey brings a wealth of manufacturing experience with over twenty years of his career spent in plant and facilities management. He has a strong background in quality assurance, purchasing, and finance. His areas of expertise include general assembly, line operations, continuous process improvement, safety requirements, and business planning. Mr. Carter holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Salem State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University. Corey served as a firefighter for the City of Peabody, in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and is an avid sports fan.
Director of Technical Support
Lee Dubé is responsible for leading technical operations efficiency and managing product application activities. His focus is on continuous process improvement, account management, and projects that will enhance the Company’s global service and support efforts. Lee partners with the management team to support corporate initiatives and guides Technical Support staff to deliver customer service excellence, develop technical tips and solutions, provide technical training, and establish best practices that align with AES quality assurance standards. His background includes diverse experience at high tech software, data collection, and enterprise solution companies with a focus on fault tolerance as well as extensive knowledge of large end-to-end communication concepts and technology trends. Mr. Dubé attended Northern Essex Community College and is currently working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Western Governors University.
Director of Product Management
Laura Wall is the newest member of our Leadership Team. She is an experienced and highly collaborative product management leader who specializes in conducting extensive market research. Her expertise in Voice of the Customer (VOC) data collection and strong analytical skill set will be vital in helping the organization to prioritize customer focus and define product requirements. In her new role at AES, Laura will work cross-functionally with all departments to align sales objectives, marketing strategy, and customer support with the engineering product roadmap. This involves managing the complete product lifecycle from concept, to design and development, product launch, and end of life products/components. She has a diverse background in chain retail, global manufacturing, distribution, and start-up environments. Ms. Wall holds a Master of Business Administration from Simmons School of Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Bentley University, and Insights for Innovation certification credential from IDEO U. She is an active member of several industry groups including Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), New Product Development and Agile Innovation (NPD), Product Management Professionals, and Boston Product Management Association.
Director of Marketing
Peg Slack is a key contributor and integral member of the senior leadership team, responsible for the development of marketing, media relations, and communications strategy aligned with sales objectives. Ms. Slack oversees global marketing activities including advertising, brand management, messaging, new product launches, event planning, web development, creative and design projects. She leads LEAN continuance improvement programs and implements corporate initiatives in support of the Company’s mission. Prior to joining AES, Ms. Slack led sales and marketing organizations in the consumer electronics field and high tech industries at large public companies and small startup businesses. Earlier in her career, she worked in a civil service role for the United States Air Force (USAF) branch of the U.S. military. Ms. Slack is a member of several industry associations and groups. She attended the BSBA program at Northeastern University.
