Our Story
AES is Founded

In 1974 AES Corporation was founded by Chief Executive/ Technology Officer, Michael Sherman, as a contract engineering firm.

1974
Introduction to the Security Industry

AES was commissioned by the U.S. Department of State to provide a suite of signal transmission security products for U.S. embassies. These products were designed and manufactured to rigorous government agency standards.

1976
AES Moves Corporate Headquarters

As AES's security product line grows, Michael Sherman moves AES to a larger facility in Peabody, MA with offices and warehousing space. This location remains the headquarters of AES Corporation to this day. 

1981
Introduction of AES-IntelliNet®

AES releases their patented AES-IntelliNet, the first long-range, wireless mesh radio network designed for the transmission of critical event signals.

1992
AES-IntelliNet Receives UL Listing

AES Corporation receives a UL Listing, enabling expansion into the fire and life safety market.

1995
Headend Equipment Added

AES Introduces its first generation of IP Link and MultiNet Receivers, making it possible for dealers to send network signals to any Central Monitoring Station.

2006
AES Introduces IntelliNet 2.0

AES launches the next generation (IntelliNet 2.0) of Fire and Burglary Subscribers, offering features and capabilities designed for scalability in the ever-evolving security industry.

7177H Hybrid Subscriber Launches

AES adds the 7177H IntelliNet 2.0 Hybrid Subscriber to its suite of Fire and Headend products. The Hybrid Subscriber provides the capability to send an alarm via RF and/or IP AND transmit peer signals via IP.

AES Enters the Facility Market Space

AES launches the 7007P-RB4 Subscriber for Environmental Monitoring. 

2022
IntelliNet Network Control Center

AES introduces the 8705 IntelliNet Network Control System (INCC), a platform that combines multiple systems into one user-friendly software-based receiver.
