Michael Sherman
Chief Executive Officer & Chief Technology OfficerMichael Sherman is the CEO & CTO of AES and serves on the board of directors. He founded the company in 1974. He oversees the Company’s corporate direction and all engineering projects. Michael is a security industry veteran and expert on communications hardware and software development including wireless applications for commercial, government, and military applications. Under his leadership for the past four decades, AES Corporation has grown from a contract engineering firm to a leader in the design and development of wireless mesh radio technology today. Michael holds a BS degree from Northeastern University and an MBA degree from Babson College.
Jim Crimmins
President & Chief Operating OfficerJim Crimmins is the Company President and COO, overseeing all departments and operations, and executing policies and strategies approved by the Board. He leads initiatives focused on driving revenue growth, developing new products, and improving overall profitability of the Company. Jim spent more than two years as an adviser to AES prior to assuming the role of President. Prior to AES, he worked in senior level positions across a range of industries, including professional services, renewable energy, and financial services. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and spent five-years as a nuclear-trained officer on a fast-attack submarine. Jim holds an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
Corey J. Carter
Vice President of OperationsCorey Carter oversees all Manufacturing staff operations and directs production processes. He also has responsibility for international logistics and the purchasing department, acting as the primary liaison interfacing with customers and suppliers. Corey brings a wealth of manufacturing experience with over twenty years of his career spent in plant and facilities management. He has a strong background in quality assurance, purchasing, and finance. His areas of expertise include general assembly, line operations, continuous process improvement, safety requirements, and business planning. Corey holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Salem State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University. He served as a firefighter for the City of Peabody, in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, and is an avid sports fan.
Jim Burditt
Vice President of Sales & MarketingJim Burditt is responsible for leading worldwide sales for the organization. He drives all facets of sales and marketing activities including promotions and programs, corporate marketing, management of revenue and operating expenses. Jim joined the team with over 20 years of sales management experience and over 15 years of experience in the physical security industry. His expertise resides in building strong dealer networks while looking for new strategic opportunities for both the company and our partners. One of Jim’s biggest strengths is his ability to lead, support, develop, promote, and coach our highly professional sales teams. Jim is a graduate of Bentley University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
Laura Wall
Vice President of Product ManagementLaura Wall is responsible for working cross-functionally with all departments to align sales objectives, marketing strategy, and customer support with the engineering product roadmap. This involves managing the complete product lifecycle from concept, to design and development, product launch, and end of life products/components. She is an experienced and highly collaborative product management leader who specializes in conducting extensive market research. Laura’s expertise in Voice of the Customer (VOC) data collection and strong analytical skill set are vital in helping the organization to prioritize customer focus and define product requirements. She has a diverse background in chain retail, global manufacturing, distribution, and start-up environments. Laura holds a Master of Business Administration from Simmons School of Management, a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Bentley University, and Insights for Innovation certification credential from IDEO U. She is an active member of several industry groups including Product Development and Management Association (PDMA), New Product Development and Agile Innovation (NPD), Product Management Professionals, and Boston Product Management Association.
Jared Robinson
Vice President of EngineeringJared Robinson is responsible for overseeing the Engineering Department at AES. His unique experience with RF and cellular telecommunications has positioned him to have a strong understanding of AES products. Jared is responsible for working with all departments to help develop new products, as well as continuously build and improve upon existing AES technology based on the voice of our customers.
His specialties include DAS, CDMA, LTE, GSM, EVDO, 3G-1X, Wi-Fi, LMR, In-building design, wireless, and project management. Jared graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Electrical Engineering.
